Lynn Underwood is the Executive Director for the City of San Diego Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention (sandiego.gov/gangcommission).The purpose of the Commission is to develop a strategic collaborative effort between various agencies and to advocate, formulate and recommend for adoption proactive gang policies, ordinances and guidelines.

 

This advisory board is composed of the Chief of Police, William Lansdowne, Sheriff William Gore, Chief of Probation Mack Jenkins, District County of San Diego Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, Gary Gallegos (SANDAG), Carol Williams(United Way), Rosa Ana Lozada (Chair and CEO of Harmonium), Danny Villereal, Dr. Rodney Hood, Peter Callstrom (Workforce Partnership), Joyce Abrams (District 1), Fred Sotelo (District 2), Nicole Ramirez (District 3), Pastor Robinson (District 4), Dana Brown (District 7), and Bishop Bowser(District 8).

 

Civic engagement is an important aspect of community empowerment. Engaging youth through technology expands the learning.
