Youth Leadership of
Trauma Informed Community Schools
4th and 5th grade students at Cherokee Point Elementary School in City Heights spoke before the San Diego City Council on requesting more homeless services for homeless in all communities. Developing their persuasive text of Common Core, the youth engaged their civic literacy and public speaking skills on behalf of their community's needs.

Youth Voice is a youth leadership program in partnership with the Mid-City Police Division - Juvenile Services Team. Developing intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, the youth led civic engagement opportunities include public speaking at Youth Summits, Gang Summits, community meetings, Town Halls, and local schools.
